A special thank you to the ‘new’ guys that helping out. Apr 23, Apr 24, Goldwing digitrch, Apr 24, LouRossiApr 24, If only it had an effects loop. Bryan TApr 24, Apr 28, Thought I’d put my thoughts out there I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect from digitech.
Maybe my expectations where really low, but I was pleasantly surprised. All the knobs seem solid, the case seems solid I noticed no difference in the quality of the bypassed signal or the dry, effect-engaged, signal. It was immediately obvious that this doesn’t track chords well at all.
For me digitwch almost eliminates the the harmonizer use for me I felt like it didn’t really track single notes all that well either. For example if you played a hammer-on, the pitch-shifted repeats sound kinda shakey. This was another bummer for me The different volumes is what really creates the effect, so the rythem has a dynamic pulse to it. Well, the timebender couldn’t really do it.
I guess I’m just realizing that 2 delays just isn’t the same thing as multi-tap. So, I tried to accomplish the delay I was looking for by blending 2 settings with the expression pedal.
Much easier than the timefactor. It just worked on the first time, no headaches. I can never get an accurate tap tempo off of them, so I built my own momentary switches which are nice, smooth, and accurate, and plug them into the aux switch spot. So, you digtiech have an external tap tempo switch. I really didn’t care for the modulation. I think it’s a phaser-ish kind of sound?
But either way, you can’t control the level of the effect, only the speed. That made it quite a bit divitech. The moduation isn’t a terrible sound Just not very tweakable. I do like it. In particular, I think that all of the delay sounds are great Also, the tone knob instantly adds a whole new palette to the sound. Very useable, and very nice. I felt like the pedal was very easy to tweak.

I only messed around with it for about an hour, and I felt like I hit the ground running immediately. Can’t say this about the timefactor. I still find myself scratching my head with that pedal good thing it sounds so f-ing good. Hope this review helps some of you guys out there Feel free to shoot me some questions if I didn’t cover anything. I’m thinking about writing a comprehensive review comparing the timebender, time factor, DD, and nova delay soon.
I’ve tried them all, and they all do different things well, but personally, nothing has done exactly what I want it to. Hi Guys, I just got my TimeBender unit yesterday as well. All in all, a very intuitive pedal. I think jlearman gave a good review, so I will just make comments on his comments where my opinion differs. FireLineApr 28, Apr 29, I gigged mine twice last weekend, and am well pleased. My needs are relatively simple, yet I’ve had trouble finding the right pedal The 4 user presets are the easiest and quickest to navigate between, and you can mod them on the fly without saving if you want to change the tempo etc.
The modulation is so so, ok to add a little chorusey shimmer to the delays but that’s about all I do with it. After watching the demo on Proguitarshop. For me though, the search has ended. At least for awhile. Apr 30, I just got mine a few hours ago, and have been wrestling with it whenever I get the chance.
The jury’s still out, and the main reason I’m a bit grumpy is this: CrazyquiltApr 30, Give us 8 presets!!!! If they would have done that they would have had every serious DD user checking this thing out. You must log in or sign up to reply here. Share This Page Tweet.
